Description

Worldwide Medical Staffing is a Native American and Veteran-owned staffing agency with a 30-year service history with US Government Hospitals. We are actively seeking a full-time Dental Hygienists in Ogema, MN to join our team! Our contract assignments range from a minimum of 13 weeks to 1 year with the mutual option to extend, giving you the opportunity to broaden your horizons and choose a different adventure.

Responsibilities:

• Plans, coordinates, conducts, and evaluates preventive oral health programs for various patient groups, such as pediatric, diabetic, cancer, psychiatric, geriatric, alcoholic, and physically handicapped patients.

• Develops and revises oral health instructional materials and education techniques for various levels of the mental and physical capabilities of each patient group.

• Provides dental hygiene services under the general supervision of staff dentists.

• Administers local anesthesia under the direct supervision of a dentist.

• Performs additional procedures such as records of medical and dental histories, reviews patient's dietary habits, administers prevention agents, desensitizes root surfaces, root planning, sealant application, takes and pours impressions for study casts, removes sutures, and instruct the patients in home care therapy and proper diet as it relates to oral health.

• Develops patient treatment plans and ensures proper referral of patients for necessary medical evaluation if beyond the scope of general hygienist practice.

 

Qualifications:

· Graduate of accredited Dental Hygienist Program in the United States.

· Must have an active Dental Hygienist license within the 50 states with no restrictions

· Must have a current BLS certification. 6. The Contract Dental Hygienist shall successfully complete a criminal history background check and submit all required documents within 7 days of request.

· Must have experience with utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and efficiently utilize an Electronic Medical Record including but not limited to Dentrix.
